  7. About FlashEnable:

  9. FlashEnable is a optional utility for devices which cannot use
  10. JackSafe.
  11.  
  12. It has two purposes:  (1) recover the contents of the flash after
  13. a hard reset or battery failure, and (2) allow JackFlash to be 
  14. deleted from the device and still use the contents of Flash.
  15.  
  16. FlashEnable should be copied to an expansion card.  This copy
  17. can then be used after a hard reset or battery failure to restore
  18. the contents of Flash. Just run FlashEnable once to re-enable the
  19. Flash after a Hard Reset.

  21. If you want to remove JackFlash from the device and still use
  22. the contents of Flash, you will need to keep a copy of FlashEnable
  23. in RAM or in Flash.  You can use JackFlash to move it to Flash if
  24. you prefer to use it in Flash.  However, even if FlashEnable is in
  25. Flash, you will still need a copy on an Expansion card to recover
  26. from a Hard Reset.

  31. Use the Install Tool to load FlashEnable on your Palm. Copy it to
  32. an expansion card so that it is available in the case of a hard reset.
  33. If you want to remove JackFlash from the device, keep FlashEnable in
  34. RAM, or use JackFlash to move it to Flash.
